In 2012 my life opened up in such a way that I was able to fully embrace and discover my love of photography. At the time, part of my job at the University of Chicago involved shooting video and still photos of public art programs. I soon realized that I wanted to shoot pictures outside of what my job required, so I started my own photography practice. My career in academia spans a bit over a decade.
