I have a PhD in engineering from University of Texas at Austin. I believe learning is a complex process which depends on several factors. Understanding these factors for different students is essential to the success of teaching process. For instance, one of these factors is background knowledge of the students. I find that the key to an effective communication with different students is to relate to them by starting from what they know, use their “language†and terminology, and build upon t
