In high school I did exceptionally well in math and received an award for academic excellence and received the highest marks among my peers in my grade. Although I did not attend college right away I decided to join the military and serve my country and when I was honorably discharged I continued to work as a civilian in my field. I went back to school after many years to pursue my degree in education since my mother was a high school teacher. I went into the college experience not as a teena
