I was a volunteer for the Americorps Program in Minnesota from September 2004 through June 2005 working with the Riverview Elementary West Side School in St. Paul. My responsibilities consisted of tutoring students and assisted classroom teachers in kindergarten, first, and second grade on developing language skills, phonemic awareness and reading/writing skills that support the content curriculum.
