I strive to make learning enjoyable for students. I believe that learning is an exciting process and I want my students to feel the same way. I first started teaching as an AmeriCorps volunteer for Literacy Volunteers of Illinois, where I taught basic reading classes for adults. I then worked as an editor at the University of Chicago Press, before returning to graduate school to complete a PhD in technical communication.
