Though I currently work as an IT professional, I previously spent over 20 years teaching Math, Science and Computer Programming at High Schools and Colleges in the US, Argentina and Brazil and am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese,I do not use rote learning methods when teaching mathematics. The true joy of math for a student is to discover the patterns that govern it rather than memorize a bunch of rules. Since mathematics is built on abstraction, the idea is for the student to "create" his
