Over the past 6 years I have been a Teaching Assistant at Wayne State over the summer for a program called Math Corps, helping children of different ages in not only Math but also obtaining a variety of life skills. This program showed me that when it comes to assisting a student in Math you have to make sure not only do they understand the material, but you must also be sure that they are interested.
