I recieved my BA degree at the age of 52 from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2002. I graduated with an earned GPA of 3.91, cum laude. In 2004 I began work on my masters in education. Before attending college to earn my two degrees I worked in the building trades, lumber yards, and driving delivery trucks. In addition I was employed by two large nonprofit organizations where I wrote newsletters, business letters, wrote and edited magazine articles and collaborated in writing three books
