My interest in chemistry started in my college preparatory school where after completing the typical high school chemistry class I also took the AP chemistry course. This gave me a head start in college enabling me to do a summer research project for my organic chemistry professor. I also was able to work as a teaching assistant for an advanced laboratory class as I had taken the class a year ahead of other students.
