I began taking general college courses while I was in the United States Air Force to get them out of the way. I was never a good math student growing up, and taking it in college proved to be very challenging in the beginning. It was my very first college professor who helped me to realize that I WAS good in math, and I just needed to have a little confidence in my ability. I decided then, that I wanted to become a math teacher. I wanted to be the kind of teacher that I needed growing up. M
