My first job was in an after school program, where I helped students with homework. I did this for 5 years. After that I went on to be a substitute teacher. I was given the opportunity to be the long-term sub for a charter school in Fort Worth. In this position I taught 2nd grade for 12 weeks. I went on to teach kindergarten and then 1st grade. In between long-term positions I was able to sub in grades kindergarten-7th. I prefer to stay in the elementary grades. I excelled in math throughout
