I have always been an avid reader. Where many people mark childhood memories by people they were around or a place they visited, mine are marked by books I have read. For instance, third grade was the year I was introduced to Where the Red Fern Grows, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and Little Women. Sixth grade brought The Outsiders and Shiloh. Even now, I remember reading The Lovely Bones when I had my first daughter.When I was 17, my English teacher was, shall we say, less than stellar.
