I am a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Japanese Language and Culture. During the course of my undergraduate work, I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Japan for eight months. During that time, my languages skill was not the only thing that grew - so too did my appreciation and understanding of Japanese culture. I work part time on Saturdays ata Japanese school in Detroit, where I assist with setup and lesson preparation - in Japan
