Keith was born in Rhode Island and raised in Carmel, Indiana he earned the Eagle Scout award and received the F.C. Tanner scholarship at Rhode Island College where he played soccer. After graduating with a BA in History and Geography, from Rhode Island College, He enlisted in the Navy an AW Aircrewman and was selected to Aviation Officer Candidate School until being medically discharged.
