I am a K-8 certified teacher. I decided a long time ago that I wanted to do something different than teaching a big group of kids in a classroom. I really believe in one-on-one teaching (or small group teaching) because students learn much more when they have the teacher concentrating on just them. The teacher can actually observe the student and determine if they are understanding what is being taught. I think our schools would have a greater number of successful students if there was more one-
