I graduated from Peabody College in 1978 with a degree in special and elementary education. My emphasis was on teaching students with learning disabilities. I was a special education teacher for three years in an elementary school in Savannah, Georgia. I then moved back to Tennessee and have been teaching special education in Williamson County for 29 years.
