It wasn’t until May 13, 2012, that I discovered I wanted to go into the special education field. This is the date that my son, Emerson, was diagnosed with autism. I never thought once, that I wasn’t going to be the single best advocate for him. It is here that my journey began…When I entered college in 2001, my passion was in psychology. I can recall for one of my classes, writing 9 pages front and back for a test in psychotherapy. I loved it! When graduation came around, I didn’t know what t
