My interest in education began three years ago when I began tutoring young adults and children every week for volunteer hours. As a sophomore at Beloit College in Wisconsin I never saw myself as a teacher, but through tutoring I discovered my talent and passion in life. I quickly entered the college's education program, and during this time I learned about the theory and practice of teaching. I also took an in-depth course on ESL teaching and tutored an adult language learner for a semester.
