Charles G. received his degree in Science Education and Geology from Kansas State University in 1980. He then when to Naval Officer Candidate school in Newport, RI. He received his commission in 1981 and was assigned as the Electronic Warfare Officer aboard the USS Bradley FF-1041. He toured most of the Far East including Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Guam, and Singapore. Upon retiring from the service he became a science teacher at Fort Riley Junior High in Kansas.
