I have been a teacher in Austin ISD for 7 years. I have certifications in Social Studies, Art, ESL, and Speech/ Debate. I studied Art, History and Math at UT Austin. I have won many awards, including Teacher of the Year, and I serve as a mentor to new teachers. I tried leaving the teaching profession to pursue a corporate career, but I quickly realized I love teaching more than anything, and that is what I am doing again.
