My education journey began as an elementary teacher assigned to grades three, and later four. The first out-of-college employment offered a great opportunity to demonstrate my ability to teach students and raise their level of performance under my tutelage. My students responded, excelled and demonstrated academic success at the highest levels. One student in my first class won the District-Wide Spelling Bee competition! The win served to challenge to reach higher goals each year afterwards.
