I began my teaching career as a home-school teacher for the Fremont Union High School District in California. There I worked one-on-one with youth who had severe health challenges and were required to be taught at home. After two years of combining classroom teaching and home-schooling, I returned to graduate school in nutritional biology. I obtained my M.S. and then completed my credential in science education. Immediately after, I landed a full time position back at my alma mater in Cupertino.
